Meet the Community - Catherine Leigh

I was born in Laois, and grew up in a small community there. I never really thought of my faith, until my brother was in a serious car accident and I began to pray the rosary on my own for the first time. As I prayed for his recovery I felt a great sense of peace, and that God was in control of the situation. Not long afterward he made a full recovery and grew deeper into his faith. I faced some difficult times, especially in university, and it was through attending prayer meetings, and going to retreats that I found the strength to stand up for my faith. I went on to be very involved in Youth 2000, and have seen God work powerfully in many peoples lives, and I began to feel called to come and grow in faith in this community. This is my eleventh year in the community.
